Bag Annual and General Meeting

BAG AGM will be held on Thursday 28th November 2019 at 7.30 pm in Barthomley Village Hall.

The A500 widening, could give the Duchy Leverage of over developing the Green Belt.

The A500 is going to be widened from the M6 junction 16 to the roundabout where it meets the A5020 to Crewe Hall.

The road will be constructed by 2021, to cope the the additional 22,000 vehicles a day expected on the construction of HS2.

The road apart from allowing the supplies needed to build HS2, will be part of the scheme to give the Potteries a better link to the hub in Crewe. On top of this the railway line from Crewe to Stoke will be made a dual line, again for the connectivity for the Potteries to HS2.

The majority land owner is the Duchy of Lancaster, and unfortunately i suspect a deal will have to be done.
